Yogyakarta Airport : Yogyakarta International Airport also known as Adisucipto International Airport is located at Jalan Raya Solo Km 9 Jogjakarta. This Airport  was firstly build intended to be an Airforce Airport Base. Firstly named as Maguwo Airport, since it is located at Maguwoharjo village.It was build in 1940, and it is use by Militaire Luchvaart at 1942.

When Yogyakarta was occupied by Japanese in 1942, the Maguwo Airport was taken from Dutch East Indies Army Force and by the end of 1945  in November , Indonesian Goverment by the name of Badan Keamanan Rakyat overtaken in again. After that, Maguwo Airport was using by Indonesian Air Force called Auri for running many Air Operational during the revolution. The airport was operated by Auri officer named Agustinus Adisucipto.

On 29th of July 1949 , The Dakota Airplane VT-CLA that was piloted by Marsekal Muda Agustinus Adisucipto was shoot down by Dutch East Indies Army Plane. To honored him and all his service to this country, According to Head of Auri Staff in 17th of August 1952 the airport name was changed to Adisucipto Airport.

Now, the Airport is operated by PT Angkasa Pura 1, running and serve many International flights from many place from the countries such as Jakarta, Bali, Surabaya Makasar and also international flights directly to Yogyakarta.
